Listening 2004: 'Our bodies are not our own'
The Preface
Although 'Our Bodies Are Not Our Own' was written for the Catholic Church, the information contained in it is equally relevant to non-Catholics.
The Roman Catholic Bishops of England & Wales called for a discussion on marriage and family life which they entitled: 'Listening 2004'. 'Our bodies are not our own', published 5 June 2004, is United for Life's response to the RC Bishops 'Listening 2004' consultation.
The full text of 'Our bodies are not our own' together with the 'Contents' list is provided here. Just click the content list headings on the left menu. 'Our bodies are not our own' will soon be available to download in PDF format. Alternatively, we can provide copies for £3.00 each including post and packing. Please send your request, including your own details and your cheque, made payable to 'United for Life' to the address on our Contact page.
Please note: 'Our bodies are not our own' was published before CAFOD's article was published in the Tablet, 25 September, 2004, in which CAFOD openly claims to support an ABC - abstain, be faithful, use a condom - approach to HIV prevention. CAFOD's HIV Policy document, downloadable in PDF, was presented to the 15th International AIDS Conference, Bangkok, in July 2004.
