Feminism & Abortion

The dictionary definition of feminist is 'a supporter of women's claims to be given rights equal to those of men'.  To be a true feminist, therefore, is to support all women, no matter what their ethnicity or religion, and one would have thought, also their age.  But it seems not as many so called feminists believe in the 'right' to kill young girls by abortion and possibly causing their mothers untold harm either mentally, physically, emotionally and/or spiritually.  Often this action is carried out by other women - doctors, nurses, counsellors, as well as being encouraged by women working in the hospitals and abortion clinics as administrators, secretaries, receptionists, 'carers', cleaners and numerous other jobs traditionally carried out by women.

There are some true feminists who oppose the killing of children, especially girls, by abortion but they are few and seemingly reluctant to speak out for the rights of all females to be equal as they claim.  Equality can only be possible when each child has the right to life, and that child's mother has the support that she needs in looking after any and all her children.

Feminists owe it to their cause and to women worldwide, include those in the womb, to speak up for life and to speak out against the killing of girls by abortion.  Once that right has been legally sanctioned, then, and only then, feminists can fight for the rights equal to men
